Pizza Chef

Responsibility

The role of the Pizza Chef is an integral part of the company’s kitchen team working under the direction of the Oliveto Head Chef. Our Pizza Chef assumes direct responsibility for the successful management of the pizza kitchen and plays a vital role in the continued growth of Oliveto.

Key Tasks

  • To assume responsibility for the pizza kitchen(s) and ensure continued growth through consistent execution of our pizzas.

  • To work closely with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to ensure a strong team commitment and open communication across the teams (especially in garden pizza kitchen).

  • To ensure standards are maintained.

  • Ensure that all food prep is strictly carried out according to our existing menus/formats/recipes.

  • Ensure that mise-en-place is ready when required for service and carried out efficiently.

  • Responsible for proper storing and stock rotation of all food (in line with HACCP regulations).

  • Ensure that all required documentation is kept up to date & all relevant paperwork is recorded and stored correctly.

  • Ensure all orders are correctly received, checked, documented and stored away.

  • Responsible for implementing existing hygiene and sanitation rules.

  • Ensuring all food items are covered and labelled correctly.

  • Control and maintain cleaning schedules.

  • Complete familiarity with our fire and safety procedures.

Who we’re looking for

  • Proven pizza chef with a minimum of two years experience

  • Experience gained working in a quality restaurant 

  • HACCP training will be expected

  • Proficient use of English is required

  • Visa to work full time in Ireland is essential

Job Requirements

  • Located in Haddington House in Dún Laoghaire

  • Six month probation period

  • Uniform of white jacket, black trousers, chef shoes needed (Oliveto apron will be provided)
